Pistol/Rifle Level II - Introduction to Dynamic Movement
This course is heavily based on movement, with more advanced drills; introducing & applying dynamic movement while shooting. You will learn how to move & shoot in all respective directions, shoot around obstacles and barricades as well as shooting next to others, around vehicles (if permitted), shooting on the move single hand, moving & shooting in pairs, weapons transitions, multi-target engagements, and negotiating obstacles while shooting. This course will be full 9-hour days with very short breaks in between drills and allotted lunch breaks.
Day 1: Pistol only movement mechanics and drills.
Day 2: Rifle movement mechanics and drills. Pistol integrated.
OVERALL: It will be a challenging and informative 2 days for everyone. You will be forced to come out of your comfort zone but will receive a lot of tools for your training box. You will learn the most about yourself, your capabilities and your limitations. This course will establish your baseline of where you are in your progression of execution and give you a good guideline for improvement to the next level. Bring comfortable footwear.
Course round count: 600 pistol, 600 rifle
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
- Semi-Auto pistol
- Semi-Auto AR
- 4 mags each weapon platform
- At least 2 pistol mag carriers, 1 rifle
- Range belt
- Rifle sling
- Gloves
- OWB holster
- Ear protection
- Eye protection (both sunglasses & clear lens)
- Proper range attire & shoes
- Note taking materials
- Plenty of water, liquids
- Lunch + snacks
